NEEMTraditionally known as the
"village pharmacy", the Neem tree's pesticidal and
medicinal properties have been known and used for centuries
in India.
Neem Oil is used to protect plants and crops against pests.
Add any suitable emulsifier to form a 0.5% emulsion and use
as a foliar spray and soil drench spray on plants and
crops. It is effective against insecticide-resistant pests,
highly environmentally compatible, non-toxic to mammals and
birds, and does not affect beneficial insects. There are no
entry restrictions for the product, and it is thus ideal
for integrated pest management programs.
The bark of the neem tree is used for cosmetics, health
care products and medicinal preparations. The leaves are
medicinal The kernel of the neem fruit is crushed to yield
an oil which is used chiefly in pest controlling
preparations and also in medicinal, cosmetic and health
care products. The residue after crushing the kernel is
neem cake, which is an excellent organic fertilizer. Even
the twigs of the tree are used as toothbrushes for dental
hygiene. Small wonder that scientists have yet to come
across a more beneficial tree
In the case of plant protection against pests, studies have
found that pure Neem oil, diluted in water with an
emulsifier is superior to formulations that 'artificially'
fortify azadirachtin levels even upto 50,000 ppm.
1. PURE NEEM OIL:
Neem seeds are cleaned, dried and hulled to get Neem
kernels. Neem Kernels are expelled to get Neem oil.

How to Use:
Step-1: Add 2 liters of any suitable emulsifier (Soap Nut
Powder is recommended as a natural emulsifier) to 10 liters
of Pure Neem Oil and mix thoroughly.
Step-2: Add this mixture to 10 liters of water and stir
thoroughly.
Step-3: Spray using a knapsack sprayer or any suitable
sprayer, within 8 hours of mixing. You may use this both as
a foliar spray on crops, and as a soil drench by spraying
the soil near the crop roots.
For most crops it is recommended that you repeat the
spraying 5 times at intervals of 7 to 10 days each

DE – OILED NEEM SEED CAKE:
Neem seeds are cleaned, dried and hulled to get Neem
kernels. Neem Kernels are expelled to get Neem oil and it
is filtered from the neem oil. The solids obtained after
neem oil separation is processed with suitable solvent to
obtain Azadirachtin. Residue obtained after solvent
extraction is again mixed with hulls in certain proportions
and pressed into cake.

Usage of Neem Cake:
Neem cake is a rich and versatile bio fertilizer as it
contains good amounts of vegetative proteins, fibers and
oil apart from insecticidal advantage. Neem cake helps in
nitrification and N fixation in the soil. It helps in
better utilization of micro nutrients such as Zinc ,
Manganese , Iron and Boron in arid and semi arid areas
where soil is tend to be slightly Alkaline. Due to
pesticidal properties of neem cake this has been widely
used in controlling various nematodes in soil, stem and
root borers in cash crops, aphids, bugs and larvae in the
soil. Neem cake is easily biodegradable and environmental
friendly. It does not leave behind residues in the plant
body unlike in the case of other synthetic organic
fertilizers, biocides etc.,
Some of the pests controlled by neem are
Aphids, Army Worms, Beet rmy Worms, Blow Flies, Brown Plant
Hopper, Caterpillars, Chinch Bugs, olorado potato beetle,
Cotton Boil Worm, Cowpea Weevil, Desert Locust. There are
many others Diamondback Moths, Fungus Gnats, Grain Borer,
Green Rice Leaf Hopper, Greenhouse White Flies, Gypsy
Moths, Horn Flies, Horn Worms, Japanese Beetles, Kharpa
Beetle, Leaf Beetle, Leaf Hopper, Leaf Miners, Loopers,
Mealy Bugs, Mexican Bean Beetle, Migratory Locust, Pink
Boll Worm, Plant Bugs, Potato Tuber Moth, Red Cotton Bug,
Red Flour Beetle, Rice Gal Midge, Rice Hispa, Rice Leaf
Folder, Rice Weevil, Sorghum Shoot Fly, Spiny Boll Worm,
Spotted Cucumber Beetle, Sweet Potato White Flies Thrips,
Tobacco Caterpillar, Tobacco Horn Worm, Vegetable Leaf
Miner, Web Worms, Weevils.
